UV Monitor for Preparative liquid chromatography and FPLC

Description:

The REACH Devices RD2 detector is indispensable to anyone engaged in chromatographic separations in aqueous or organic solvents, of samples between 20mg and 200g per typical run, using any preparative column type. Scientists and process engineers who accomplish organic synthesis, protein and peptide purification, or any bench or semi-industrial scale chromatographic procedures will benefit.

Our chromatography monitors are ideal for the real-time visualization of effluent contents as they pass through the detector. The RD2 signals do not plateau at high solute concentrations that saturate all conventional UV detectors, allowing the user to always collect desired fractions non-blindly and with minimum cross-contamination.

REACH Devices provides you liquid chromatography detectors designed by people with 20 years of practical experience with chromatographic separation. Our products are exceptionally small and lightweight, intuitive, solvent and trauma-resistant, and ready to use without additional lamps, flow cells, computers, etc.

*The data is simultaneously collected for optical path-lengths 0.001 to 1 mm, and presented to user “as if” the acquisitions occurred using a 1 mm optical path-length. Unlike other UV monitors, the chromatogram data collected by the RD2 detector does not plateau when concentrations of UV-absorbing compounds are high, allowing the user to see true analyte peaks as they leave the column.

Features:

  • The RD2 detector measures UV absorption at 250nm and 280nm wavelengths simultaneously, using a single, embedded flow cell. The measurements are thermally compensated.
  • UV LED light sources provide over a decade of consistent function while eliminating warm-up time.
  • UV light intensity is temperature-independent to minimize long-term drift.
  • Flow rates from 0.1 to 300 ml/min.
  • Can be used continuously for pressures up to up to 2500 psi (170 bar).
  • The flow cell total volume is 30μl.
  • The flow cell is compatible with any common solvent except HF.
  • Groundbreaking (US patent) flow cell design allows the user to reliably observe absorption peaks from 0.001 to 100 AU simultaneously*.
  • The chromatogram is graphed in real time on an embedded 5.7-inch LCD.
  • Data is recorded to an internal, non-volatile (non-powered) memory, and can be transferred to a USB drive in a simple format exportable to software of your choice.
  • The detector is compatible with virtually any fraction collector.
  • Included universal column adapter makes attaching the RD2 to any column or cartridge effortless – glass, FPLC, HPLC.
  • Durable anodized titanium case and shielded display combine a sleek, modern design with near-total solvent resistance.
  • Works with both 120V and 220V line voltage, 10W max power draw.
  • The detector can be tailored to particular research needs by firmware uploads from a flash drive.
  • Three years warranty.
  • List price $4191.00. To order contact sales@reachdevices.com for a quote.
